Sony Vaio for Blu-ray movies via HDMI - help!

Hi,

Probably a really basic question, but I'm trying to play Blu-rays through my Sony Vaio vgn-fz laptop, using my LG tv as the screen. I've got it connected using the £4.99 HDMI cable that came recommended by What Hi-fi, but I can't seem to play DTS audio through the TV. Dolby sound works through the TV and both formats work when the laptop is not connected to the TV via the HDMI cable.

Is there anything basic I can do, am I missing something? Please help if you can!

I'm assuming that your tv has 2 'normal' speakers.....how will you get any sort of DTS decoding through these??
