SONY STR DN1050- Speaker pairing suggestion pls

Hello what hi-fi fans,

as the title says i would like to ask some advise regarding getting a speaker package to pair with this Sony,which also should be good with music.

*Budget-£500 .don't mind to get a used one.

*Main source at the moment,Asus G74SX laptop,Epson TW 4400

*Regarding the setup room,its the main hall,wide 9ft and length 20 feet

*Luckily,there is a lane inbetween the neighbour,so hoping there is no need to worry about keeping the volume very low.

Since you use a PC as a digital front, I recommend a pair of active monitors on good stands connected to the Sony. If you want to later on you can repurpose them for desktop use with your laptop. They are more versatile than getting passives. Or do you prefer passives only?

I don't mind active or passive,just read here a user having problem with this Sony model.

Any speaker package recommendation ,5.1 or 7.1?
