Sony STR-DA1200ES & KEF 3005

Recently I purchased the Sony STR-DA1200EX AV amp and KEF 3005 speakers. I set up the speakers using the auto set up feature but I found that the vocal from the centre speakers is soft while the rest of the sound coming from the L and R speakers are louder. In short, the speech from the movie is not clear. Why is that? Do I need to set anything else after using the auto set up feature?

The cable set-up is as follow. HDMI from the DVD is hook up to the Plasma TV since this Sony amp can't handle the sound signal via HDMI. So the sound is handle by the Coaxial cable from the DVD player to the amp.

As we've mentioned many times before, the automatic set-up isn't infallible, and should really be viewed as a good starting point for set-up.

Just go into the menus and increase the level of the centre channel to suit your taste.
