Sony KDL32-D3000 - Worth getting now?

Hi everyone,

I've decided on getting the KDL32-D3000 after seeing it in John Lewis but the price is very high compared to the other 32" sets, £799. I want to get the TV from John Lewis for the 5 year free warranty.

It's been over a year since the tv came out, I was just wondering if a better tv has came out since, for £800 there must be another tv that's just as good if not better?

What's the opinion on this?

I just purchased the 32-S model after much debate over whether the extra ££ was worth it for the D model. I am very pleased with the S. Sky digital (non HD) is very good quality, xbox 360 looks fantastic running through HDMI and DVDs are good quality also. I'd say unless you really need the 100hz for a particluar reason, just save your money and get the S model and spend the rest on a console or another piece of kit!
