Sony DAV-DZ830

I want to add a surround sound system to my Sony 40x3500 and PS3 and am looking at the DAV-DZ830 mainly due to it's output being 1200W but I would prefer not to have another DVD player as my PS3 is good enough for this, could anyone please suggest a good alternative, don't really want to spend much more than £500. Thanks
