Was going to buy 55" HX853 when Sony announce their cashback offer soon. The 55" HX953 is due for release 1 Nov. Worth hanging on for? Still not convinced about the current 6 degree viewing angle. Any thoughts?

The hx953 is not coming to the UK, 853 is a great tv, nice design too.

True. Spoke to Sony advisor. It seems this set will not now be released in the UK. Makes you wonder what they'll announce in Jan 2013.

Sony usual have their cashback offer running mid-Oct to Christmas Eve. Thing is, is it worth taking advantage of or waiting until next Spring for new products? The 853 was announced in Jan, not released until June. Makes you wonder if the next generation of Bravia have already been almost manufactured. Thinking this way though usual means you continually wait to see what Sony will improve on and end up with nothing. Very tempted by 55' 853 soon. Of course there are the post Christmas sales to clear old stock. What to do? :?
