GOOD NEWS! I have money on my horizon but not sure if i should wait for the next X range bravia? I dont want to use my hard saved cash on the KDL46X3500 if the next leap up is in sight!

From the latests reviews I've read, I think I'd wait as the current series seems a touch expensive for the spec. It gets excellent reviews and I had a look at one last weekend in a Sony store and while it definitely produces a quality picture I'm not sure it's that much better than the latest batch of new TV's which cost significantly less. I was also thinking of getting one but have decided to wait to see what the new series is like. In the meantime I need to get a 32" LCD which is hard enough. I think the new X series is due in Oct so we should start to hear something over the next few months.

Well, if you can't wait then I don't think you'll be disappointed as it's still a great TV and once you've bought it I suspect you'll not want for more. Just make sure you shop around.

The 46W4000 is out. The 40" version had great reviews at HDVtest (best LCD reviewed...)

This is my worry: The KDLW4000 is already out and the KDLV4000 was just announced so like Livers said these newer panels have better value for money over the older KDLX3500. I've read the reviews and have been impressed by both TVs but i'm worried i'll regret not waiting. I asked my local Sony centre if they have heard any news of the new X range but they hadn't as of yet. Has anyone else heard news of a more specific date for release of the new X range? (I will deffinatly be buying the new ultimate guide to television).

I got my info from this:

http://www.techradar.com/news/television/hdtv/sony-leak-reveals-bold-led-hd-tv-plans-317951

If the link doesn't show up then try searching 'techradar' the headline was Sony Leak Reveals Bold LED HD TV plans. It was just a rumour and Sony haven't confirmed anything but then again they wouldn't, not at this early stage.

Thanks again Livers. Techrader is now at the top of my favourites list! If there's any truth in the article I'll have to wait. I'll just have to put up with SD gaming and movies for the time being!
