Hi I have collected enough sony reward points to get one of the above, I currently use a PS3 for my blu-ray movies so looking to upgrade or replace my DVD player- sony RDR-HXD860 with the new blu-ray player.

Which one would you recommend, i know the 360 has had rave reviews but I haven't seen any for the 363?

I use a sony DA1200ES surround sound amp so would this handle either player?

Any advice would be appreciated, cheers.

Both players are the same except that the 363 has a remote control that glows in the dark. Unfortunatly you will not be able to experience HD sound with either player. You need a blu ray player with a mutichannel analogue output to connect to the to your amp. The sony BDP 760 has this feature but retails at £300 plus.

ear:this just ocorred to me..with a av amp using analogue ins, one can't adjust the lip sync? is this right?

That would depend entirely on the player, my Sony BDP-S760 has lipsync adjustment, I'm using the multi-channel analogue outs. I've never actually needed to adjust the lipsync, but the option is there.

thx for the answer the_lhc it also depends if the tv has a lot of lag or not. i've read the manual for the bdp7500 top of the range philip BRplayer and it states nothing about lip sync...maybe that is why it is cheapers than thar sony
