Sony BDP-S370

Hope this doesn't sound like a daft question, but I have only recently got in to Hi-Fi and Home cinema. Was thinking of buying the new Sony BDP-S370 after reading the review in What Hi-Fi. After visiting the local Sony store at Bluewater I was a bit confused. I asked if they had the S370, to which they replied NO, but we have the new S373. The store assistant couldn't really answer the question. So is the S373 the same as as the 370?

Yep - it's the Sony Centre exclusive version, with - if I recall rightly - a different remote control.

Make sure you shop around for a deal - Sony Centre won't price match on the S370, it seems.... though of course they could have exclusive deals on the S373.

You should be able to pick up a BDP-S373 for £119 from a Sony Centre if you trade in any old VHS or DVD machine before 6th June because there is a double trade-in offer on that model until that date (£60 trade-in instead of the usual £30).

And yes, it is a BDP-S370 with a back-lit remote control, just as they did with the BDP-S360 and BDP-S363 models - pretty pointless exercise really.

Thanks Clare. Currently they are doing a £60 trade in for any old DVD player no matter what condition, so I can get it for £110.
