It's a good deal if you like the films, but to me, they look like 8 of the worst films ever made.

That cannot be true as I don't believe any of them feature Jim Carrey

I like Dumb & Dumber, but I don't think I'll ever watch any of these:

I would happily watch Green Zone and Adjustment Bureau, and probably Twilight. Battle LA and 2012 would at least be good system workouts. It's a good deal even if you don't like any of them, as you could expect to sell the blu rays for in excess of £30 and therefore get the Sony for under £50, which is great.

I was just exaggerating for effect, it is a good deal Ben.

This isn't bad either, as you (apparently) can get the Batman Dark Knight trilogy free on redemption with either.
