Sony and Panasonic join hands for OLED R&D

Both will be minor stakeholders in the joint venture, concentrating on smartphone and tablet displays to start with. Hopefully this will progress to TVs as well.

Yes, they attempted a joint venture for OLED TVs.

But that failed.
