sony 760 question?

hi at the moment i have the sony 760 blu ray player that gives excellent blu ray pictures on my samsung le40c750 tv but i want a player that gives the very best picture and sound quality from blu ray disc could somebody please recommend the best player available my brother said that the sony 5000es would probably give me the best picture possible on my tv i need help on the following asap

Before spending any money, try and get a home demo.

You have a good player already and there would probably be so little difference that you would not notice.

I agree, I would also recommend a side by side test, it's more likely any noticeable differences may be on the audio side, and if you don't have a surround sound set up it may be a waste of money.

Last June I was at What HiFi Towers as a panel member of the big question, and none of us could see or hear a difference between a cheap Sony player and the top of the market model. Indeed one panel member though the picture slightly better from the cheaper model.
