Sony 46x3500 sound problem developing

I purchased the x3500 back in January and have no problems with it at all until now and yes still just in warranty.

Yesterday while watching the TV the sound cutout and this then made the picture flicker. Left it for a min thinking perhaps it was sky but nothing improved, so switched off the TV and then switched it back on everything was back to normal and worked perfectly for the rest of the day.

Then the same thing happend again today, followed the same procedure to reset.

The sound is only coming through the tv and not going through a cinema system.

Anyone else come across this problem with a sony or any other make?

Does this happen when watching the built-in Freeview as well? Sounds highly likely to be a Sky box issue.

Don't know, as i can't receive anything on the freeview where i live so don't use it , also i don't know when it's going to happen.

But when it does happen next time i'll try to switch over to freeview to rule this out one way or another
