Sonos - Digital or Analogue out?

Hi all,

due to input restricitions I currently run a digital coax cable from my Sonos. Next week, I'll have a new AVR so can stick with this or go down the analogue route. Which is best?

Kind of depends where you're running your digital coax cable to at the moment.

And also what AVR is it?

It'll be in to a Denon 1911

ok but what is it going into now?

Right now it's into an old Bose Lifestyle 8 that I'm selling. All my music is ripped in FLAC and sitting on a NAS. Next week it'll be into the 1911 and I've got some Kef 2005s

Right, well if my experience is anything to go by then the DAC in the 1911 will outperform the analogue output of the Sonos, however all you need to test this is an analogue cable and you can plug both into the Denon and switch between the two inputs to get an instant comparison.

What speakers are you getting with the AVR?
