I have!
Looks amazing, R2R married to tubes, these are silky smooth.
This likely to appeal to vinyl devotees than those preferring clean clinical Topping type sound.
Kudos to FiiO for making it main stream and affordable.

A little bit more on the Shanling, really sweet hardware and relatively speaking £3k seems very reasonable.

SACD is back, baby! This beefy new audiophile CD player is deliciously '90s, and has built-in tube amplification as a bonus | TechRadar https://www.techradar.com/audio/sac...nd-has-built-in-tube-amplification-as-a-bonus
I wonder if it’s better than this? Apart from looking slightly dour the Oppo is perfect according to this fascinating review.

I reconnected mine on for the first time in ages today and it still works beautifully. The pause button on the remote seems a bit reluctant but it is 14 years old I suppose. Still sounds lovely though.

Looks pretty formidable. It's a shame they stopped production.

Yes, indeed. There’s some interesting side points in that thread about the wafer thin margins they gave dealers, and relatively modest distribution compared to the heavyweights like Sony andPanasonic. But it seems like the engineers were given free rein to create the best they could. And they’ve never been bettered, hence the continuing high prices secondhand, especially for the newer 105 and 205 models.

That's why I am hoping my 105 lasts a few more years.....
I couldn't afford what they charge for the equivalent these days.
