Someone else in need of buying advice

After wallowing in the hifi system world for the past few years, I'm looking to upgrade to a seperates system to produce a clearer sound on my collection.

I listen to a lot of bass heavy music, so am looking for an amp and speaker system that would complement this range but within the £500 or under price range.

All suggestions greatly received.

Do you have a source already (i.e. CDP, iPod via DAC etc...)?

If you listen to a lot of bass heavy music I dont think you'll go wrong with either NAD, Arcam or Rotel amps and B&W, Monitor Audio or Q Acoustic speakers

Are you after brand new or will you consider 2nd hand?

Thanks for the advice d_a_n1979. I would consider second hand if there right equipment was available. I guess for under £500 it would be my best option.
