Socket location standard

Why cant manufacturers come up with a common place to site their AC inlets? It is making my life difficult when trying to distance mains and interconnects.

Lol, I have spent time trying to do the same. I was pleased when my DAC arrived and its power cable was to the same side as the amp, making cable management very easy.
