Smart TV streaming

Ok so I've got plenty of media on my PC, most of it is 1080p H264/AAC.

Currently just watch on my PC, but thinking about buying a TV for my room.

Can I stream directly to a smart tv which has Wifi connectivity (looking at KDL-32W653 and TX-L32E6B) without any additional hardware?

Would there be any loss of quality? Especially as I have a rubbishy Sky router.

The computer and tv will be in the same room, but the router is downstairs.

With wireless n you should be able to stream ok. With wireless G it might be touch and go depending on how good your connection is.

Of course you have to make sure the media is in a format the TV can play, otherwise you will need your pc on to do the transcoding. If the TV supports PLEX client then this is easy.
