is a 6-7 foot space in between each of the monitor audio silver rs6 speakers a large enough space to put them apart from each other? or would it have to be a larger space to them? as they are quite a large speaker.

I'd recommend a minimum of ten feet, though it depends on how far from the speakers you are sitting. It's typically recommended that an angle of sixty degrees between listener and speakers is used for music listening, forty-five for home cinema. But you don't want your speakers near room boundaries. Of course even the best speakers and rooms have their compromises but fiddle about with positioning and you'll find something you like.

Enough if there's a drop of at least a hundred feet or deep water either side of 5 ft.

Joking naim is holmes. Not my favorite speaker but if it sounds good then the space is good. Forget rules when it comes to positioning speakers. All rooms are different. Just play around and as long as you like it ...
