I am looking for an amplifier with a small footprint to run 2 x Revolver Colt Speakers 30-100w, I am mainly using them for playback for a Boss digital recorder and also for an electronic piano. It did buy a small amp over the web but had to send it back a the fan noise was way to loud. Any suggestions would be gartefully received

Budget would be handy to know :)

Small amps can range from the small T Amps on eBay (Topping etc...) ranging from c£35 upwards or full 'hifi' / audiophile smaps could be like the NAD C3020 - http://nadelectronics.com/products/hifi-amplifiers/D-3020-Hybrid-Digital-Amplifier

Or something along the likes of a Cyrus 6XP or 6a - But they're not that 'small' rather than a lot less wide than standard sized amps etc...

Again budget will play a lot into this

One of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Topping-TP-22-TK2050-T-Amp-2x30W-Tripath-Class-Digital-Amplifier-/200973043786?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_HomeAudioHiFi_Amplifiers&hash=item2ecaed484a

And that's what I'd go for personally

:)

I also thought that chinese T amps were very interesting............then I read that most T amps will stop working within one week or within three months. Please be careful if you buy a T amp ;)

The Topping amps are well put together and fairly well respected yo over on the 'other hifi' forums :)

The link I provided is a uk based seller also so you'll that easy of buying etc...

my pal has 2 of them for 2 separate systems and both are over 12months old with no issues :) One driving a set of Q Acoustic 1020's and the other a set of AE100i's :)
