Hi all, Newby here just reviving my HiFi hobby again after years of neglect. I hope you can help me with the following: I am currently planning to install two speakers (probably the Q Acoustics 3020 as they got good reviews and are quite efficient) wall mounted in our dining/kitchen area of 3.5 by 6.5 m. Wall mounting is necessary because of space restrictions and I expect the children to bump into any stands. As this is a second setup and mainly used during dinner and cooking at reasonable sound levels I am looking for a simple source so got a chromecast audio which works fine for me. Now I am looking for a small amplifier (it will have to fit on a windowsill) which only needs 1 input connection (either RCA or optical in) and two speaker connections. Any ideas? I have been looking at the Tripath amps, such as amptastic and the Topping vx22 or similar, price range also fits nicely within the budget. These amps would easily fit, but I am worried about the sound quality. This especially as we have hard floors (terrazzo composite floor), which did result in quite a bit of local reflections in a test run I performed with some old Diamond 9.1's.
Thanks in advance,
Rory
