Sky Sports HD Sound Issue Question???

I am currently watching the Man City game and have noticed recently a constant right channel crackle whilst watching the football since the start of the reason - it is really bad with the footy but then disapears with other sources

was wondering if busted speaker and that the sport just brings out its worst or whether an error in the encoding for sport - anyone else noticed this???

just realised after probably nearly two years that even though I had my Sky box connected by optical that i hadn't set the correct input on my amp to join picture and sound so been living with the sound through hdmi! now no crackle and the sound is so much fuller! DOH!
