If you previously got Sky off Astra (UK Sky Channels) then they're the same. They use the same satellites, Astra 2D and Eurobird.
Its only different if you were watching foreign channels via other Sky satellites.
If you want to check alignment, go here:
http://www.dishpointer.com/
Select your satellite from the drop down menu (You need it set to Astra 28.2E), Enter your location, use the google earth map and drag feature to zoom in on your exact house, and drag the pointer to the point on your house where the dish is mounted. Underneath all the bearings / elevation data will show.
To see if your pointing in the right direction, hold a compass below the dish and check to see if its pointing in the same direction as the magnetic bearing. If you're only checking you're on the right satellite, you don't really need to check elevation and skew as they should be correct if properly installed.
If you're self installing or suspect its out of alignment, then these need checking also although a meter is always a good idea as well if installing (they cost around £14).
