I have Sky+ and am planning on buying a Sony DVD recorder with HDD. Presumably I'll be able to record Sky programmes directly onto the Sony DVD recorder rather than Sky+ if I want to, but will I be able to record 2 programmes on Sky+ (as present) and then at the same time record a third programme (via Freeview digital) on the Sony? And also will I be able to play back programmes currently stored on my Sky+ and transfer them to the Sony DVD recorder?

Thanks

The best time to transfer sky + recorded programmes is just before you go to bed. It tranfers in real time and if you press any button on your sky remote or box it will stop the 'copy'. The best thing about the sony hdd is that you can edit out adverts using the A-B erase feature. You can record freeview to sony( using the sony buit in freeview) and 2 sky + programmes as they act indepentantly.
