This one F1 from 1980's, 1990's and modern. These are all the same scale (1:18) look at the size difference between an early 80's Williams and the Mclaren from just a couple of years ago.

This one group B rally cars to go with the pics of the Metro 6R4 I posted earlier today. These posts are just a part of my diecast collection. I have a display cabinet in the front room full of 1:18 scale diecast road car models, Subarus. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo7, Nissan Skyline various Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini. There are so many more I want but prices have gone stupid.

Jesus! I knew they'd got bigger, but that's far more than I was expecting. No wonder overtaking (without artifice) became so difficult, and why Monaco's pole became ever more important.

Would have had a better comparison if I'd actually signed the boxes ip and taken a photo from above. But yeah modern F1 way longer but narrower than an 80's F1 car. I know I'm an old fart but I prefer the look of those early to mid 80's F1 cars too.

Back on the subject of cats. I unlocked the cat flap this morning about 6:30 after he woke me up, then went back to sleep. About an hour later I was awakened again by him playing about by my side of the bed. Looked down to see him poking around in my slippers. I then picked them up, to find he had deposited a dead mouse in one, not the first time he has done that…

Back on the subject of cats. I unlocked the cat flap this morning about 6:30 after he woke me up, then went back to sleep. About an hour later I was awakened again by him playing about by my side of the bed. Looked down to see him poking around in my slippers. I then picked them up, to find he had deposited a dead mouse in one, not the first time he has done that…

Hahah ooopps. Been there myself. Many times.

My cat once brought in a small bird and was toying with it in the kitchen. My attempts to free the bird were met with strong disapproval, so decided to just let nature take its course and close the door - bird was more dead than alive anyway, I thought he'd tire of it soon. Went back in half an hour later to find plumage all over the kitchen 🙄

My cat once brought in a small bird and was toying with it in the kitchen. My attempts to free the bird were met with strong disapproval, so decided to just let nature take its course and close the door - bird was more dead than alive anyway, I thought he'd tire of it soon. Went back in half an hour later to find plumage all over the kitchen 🙄

My old moggie cat who has long passed away, bless her little soul.
In her hey day she was a vicious predator.

My Koi carp diminished in numbers. Strong nets didn't deter her. Why oh why, did she pick out the rare expensive ones!

I once witnessed her catching pigeon in mid air, brought it down and devoured it within an hour, all that was left were the feet and little beak.

My Koi carp diminished in numbers. Strong nets didn't deter her. Why oh why, did she pick out the rare expensive ones!

I once witnessed her catching pigeon in mid air, brought it down and devoured it within an hour, all that was left were the feet and little beak.

I had a hunter like that, decades ago, who came from farm cat stock. He was a big black and white cat, got hit by a car and killed, when he was just 4 years old...

My black cat Luna was similar, hunter, wanderer, also got hit by a car.

I remember about 10 years ago I had a job interview the next day and luna snuck out the bedroom window and was outside all night. I was worried as I didn’t want my night camouflage cat running around outside.

Next morning I find her waiting for me, looking pleased as punch, with a mouse’s arse and all its entrails hanging out. Thanks mate. I got the job I guess despite the broken sleep, perhaps this is a cat good luck ritual?

Sounds like my mum and our cat back in the 80's. Caught a bird, my mum grabbed it and held it out of the cats reach or so she thought, the cat jumped up and sank a single claw into my mums hand. Oh boy the blood and my mum screaming at the cat.

Wow that is impressive.

Sad. I had a cat killed by a car when I was a teenager, hence I do all I can to prevent mine to go out the front but there's only so much you can do to "train" a cat.

Really heart breaking when that happens, I loved my cats as much as I loved my dogs, they're souls in a different form.

I have my garden fenced high - L-shaped fences to prevent them escaping. Maine C--ns are not street wise, not like common domestic cats, they'll walk in front of a car or get stolen.

We have both but, my wife is the dog person, I'm crazy cat man, through and through...
