I purchased a LGBD390 last July from RS near to me, I brought this player for it's analogue outs to connect to my pre HDMI amp, ever since owning it I've not been happy with the HD sound. I have posted about this sound issue here before. However I returned it for testing last Monday so a week ago, they said 2-4 weeks to cover themselves but did not offer me a tempory player. Ppl on this forum have said try the CA 650BD, RS have a display model and one in their demo room so I asked if I could demo this at home for a couple of days, the said not a problem, leave either £400 cash or a card payment and they will refund it on return!! I don't have a spare £400 lying around even tho they have my £240 LG. I have given them a good ten years business from family and friends and they now know me.
Is it unfair that they won't allow me to demo the CA650 at home just for a couple of days??
Shall I settle for a rubbish replacement in the meantime?
