Should I wait a while before I buy a new receiver?

Im looking for a new receiver after I had to return my 2400es which malfunctioned. Since I can't get a replacement 2400 I'm wondering what I should get? I'm in no rush and I can also afford to spend a lot more money on it. Should I wait for a few months for new models and if so, does anyone know what's in the pipeline?
