Shimmer on HD

Not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes!! Recently got Sky+HD, picture looks GREAT on 32inch philips 9604 (connected with Chord Silver Shield HDMI) BUT I notice there tends to be a shimmer in some instances. For example, the pitch and crowd in football/rugby broadcasts under floodlights etc. Is this my TV? And if so, anything I can do to eliminate this? I thought i'd got the settings right on my TV but maybe not!!

if you're watching BBC HD (i often see shimmering on their channel) it may be because it's a terrible channel. if it does it on other channels too it may be that you need to switch off the various picture processing options on your tv.

Thanks Eezer, I do have all picture processing options turned off anyway and it seems to happen on other HD channels (eg Skysports HD), fingers crossed it isn't a fault with my TV or my sky box! Not noticed it happen when watching bluray as yet.....weird!

What do you have the HDMI picture output resolution on the Sky box set to? And is the picture going straight to the TV, or via an AV receiver?
