what is the best way to set up digital sound. hdmi connection frpm sky box to amp? only one outlet on sky box that goes into tv for hd picture, not sure of best way, any advice would be welcome. thanks in advance.

You need both an HDMI connection (for picture) and optical digital cable (for 5.1 sound) from the Sky box to the AV amp. Then another HDMI cable from the amp to the TV.

Also, you'll need to tell the amp to take the 5.1 audio input from the Sky box via optical so that it overrides the HDMI audio connection, which is stereo only.

so andy, hope i have it right, hdmi lead from sky box to tv, and an optical lead from sky box to amp.i only have one hdmi port in tv. thanks for the reply.
