Hi all. I've been browsing the forum for a while and want to seek some help in improving my current fairly old system - on a tight budget! I've got an Arcam Alpha 8 amp, a Marantz CD67SE CD player and Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 speakers. Cables used are fairly basic and the speakers are on bookshelves at the end of a fairly long, rectangular room. Originally I had Kef Q35 speakers but these had to go as the room was remodelled and there was no chance of keeping the floor standing speakers (compromise with the wife)
I'm not satisfied with the set up and want to make some improvements. I'm thinking the speakers and speaker cable might be the way to do this, but have no idea which speakers to buy; I see great reviews for the Q Acoustic 2010i, but don't know if these would be any livelier than my Wharfedales.
