Hello I am currently searching to find a good looking, good quality AV cabinet that will cover the components inside with see through glass doors. The cabinet will house an onkyo 875, a sky+ box (maybe sky HD in the future) and probably a PS3. Also either on top or in the top shelf there will be a B&W HTM62 speaker. No TV on top as I am getting a projector. my budget for this is up to £400. I found 2 great ones that would be perfect for what I want to do with them but they were well beyond my budget unfortunately. I will try to find them used though... One was the Quadraspire QKAV and the other the standsunique AV10 High. found them for more than 700 and 500 respectively.

HA! nothing is toddler proof. Glass doors seem to be an attraction to my son, as he can see himself in it, and all the pretty lights shine from within. I guess its only a matter of time before he smashes his way through.

One answer might be to put the system in a cabinet with solid, non-glazed doors and use an infrared extender system to control the components within.

When mine were small I mounted all of it on high shelves. The bonus was the turntable couldn't be jogged.

I hate to cheapen it like this, my friends solution to this problem was something from Ikea that had locking shatterproof glass doors, I believe he modified it to take spikes for improved isolation.
