I WOULD LIKE TO WACH MY CONTENT (VIDEOS, PICS AND MUSIC ) ON MY PS3 VIA MY SEAGATE HARDDRIVE BUT MY PS3 DOSNT RECONISE IT WAT AM I DOING WRONG WAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO TO MY PS3/HARDDRIVE ? PLEASE HELP !!
I wouldn't buy Seagate drives to be honest - I've read nothing but bad reports. It might therefore be the brick's fault. I have used a 120gb Western Digital (http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=256606&CatId=2267) with my old Jamo DMR61 and it worked fine. I haven't got a PS3 to test it but it might be worth changing HD.
The hard drive must be formatted as fat32 otherwise the ps3 cannot recognise it. Try posting a question on the PS3 forums to see if anybody has experience of that particular drive
i've got a WD 120gb hard-drive and it works fine with my PS3. with all the firmware updates it'll play 90% of the files i throw at it. sorry, sounds like it's the 'brick'!
PS. when using my PS3 menu it'll say 'no titles available' when i press 'X' but try pressing triangle and select 'all titles', works for me! of course if your harddrive doesn't appear on your PS3 menu at all you're out of luck!
