Hi guys im sure you all got what u wanted for xmas so thats good, apart from me asked for a new av reciever all i got was some socks lol

Ok im in the market for an upgrade from my sony 1200es amp to something abit more simple and up to todays demanding tech eg hdmi inputs x4 3d ready and easy set up without breaking the bank my budget is about £250.00 .

can anybody help me decide which av reciever i should with

thanks guys

Yamaha 667 from best buy if any left for £280

otherwise the Sony 810 is only option which is 3D and near price range

Not too many around at that price point with 3D ready but there is this Sony STRDH810 with 4 HDMi inputs, or this Pioneer VSX520 but does not have the required 4 HDMi only 3 inputs.

I would suggest an audition or demo first before you buy if possible.

Richer Sounds told me Sony's were cheap, as in cheap parts and less features than others in the same price range.

My amp, Yamaha RX-V467, is £270 in store but £250 online. They say just mention the online price in store, and they'll reduce.

you have to take everything you read with a pinch of salt. The person telling you this could of just read something on on a forum and that person posting could of been mis-informed or lying. Then he begins telling people in the shop not to buy Sony amps

Another factor is that those people working in RicherSounds are SALESMEN and will be given specific stock to push (which seems to be Onkyo as they always try and sell me them when i go into the store. I ended up buying Yamaha for its Stereo Performance and looks over the Onkyo - Which is uuugglllyyy.

It has been said time and time again but you really need to get a demo before you buy
