Hi,

I am looking at the above TV's. Both are very similar with the UE65KU6000 being around £400 more, but has the added benefit of HDR.

Can anyone advise if the £400 for the HDR is worth it. I cannnot find any reviews on the TV, hence my post here.

Thanks.

I wouldnt spend that much considering the hdr performance of the tv is minimal. 8 bit panel and limited brightness and black levels. Steer clear imo!

Thanks for the reply. Are you saying steer clear of the HDR TV or both?

i am finding it hard to find a good 65" TV around the £1000 mark.

hdr for that price point.

can't you find a used 65" js8500 on avforums or something? seen a 65" js9000 go for £1400 not long ago. maybe you can get lucky if you were to spend a little more! the tv will still be good but maybe you're best off getting just a regular 4k and leaving hdr or saving more and getting some hdr performance.

I don't know enough about HDR to comment, but one thing that I will say is that the 2016 machine, the KU6000, will NOT have 3D, if that matters to you.

Thanks for the replys. I never thought about a second hand one, may try that. May be able to get the JS9000 if its cheap.

Not too fussed about the 3D, don't use it at the moment, but thanks for the heads up.
