Does enyone know if theres much difference between these screens (picture wise), is it worth paying the extra money? I think the input lag is ok but not as good as plasma.
I've not seen the C9000. C8000 is quite good. I personally think that the C9000 is atrociously priced. You can get the Sony HX903 & Panasonic VT20 for a lot less, along with the Samsung C8000....they will definitely offer better value for money, the HX903 less so.
I got some goss straight off the Samsung demonstration guy that pops around to our stores and he says that the 8000 is actually a more accurate picture than the 9000. The whole idea of the 9000 apparently was the aesthetics. I'm sure it still has a nice picture though. We haven't received our first lot of stock so i'll be interested to see.
The 8000 is a lovely looking tv with alot less of the lcd/led halo'ing effect due to the localised dimming of the LED's. I would still consider the sony and pana though. While I find they're colour isn't as nice, they both seem to have much better motion than the Samsung. All depends what you watch though.
Interestingly the best motion I have seen in a TV was actually a chinese manufacture panel called a Changhong. I don't know where they got it but the motion is wicked. Unfortunately the rest of the TV's attributes where lacking.
