I have recently acquired a Samsung home cinema surround system which sounds good, but feel would sound even better if the thin & cheap speaker cable were upgraded. I was told by a young shop assistant that it would not really make a lot of difference but I am not convinced. The main obstacle is that the speaker wires have little moulded colour coded terminals or plugs at the end which fit into the DVD receiver. Would a hi fi shop be able to fit the original plugs or new ones onto new cable? Any ideas?
