Samsung PS59D6900 (PN59D6500 in US)

Anyone own / seen this TV?

Based on what i've read so far and the price it seems like an absolute steal; i'm inclined to go for it even without having seen it in the flesh. So would be interested if anyone has any experience / views.

Failing that, i shall take it upon myself to be the forum's guinea pig and will report back in a couple weeks...

Getting one myself in a couple of weeks....already posted asking if a review was forthcoming but it would seem not atm.....will be interested to hear your thoughts assuming you get yours before me....

Remember your post but couldn't find it.

All professional reviews i've seen so far are for the 51". All relatively glowing reviews, but we know that doesn't necessarily carry up the range (size-wise).

Probably going to order on Monday. Will report back on this thread.

From all I've read on other forums the 59 is MUCH better than the 51...it would appear that black levels on Samsung's larger (59/64) panels are way better than the smaller ones...the smaller sets also were prone to some 3d crosstalk, and brightness fluctuations for the most part owners seem to be reporting these problems are all but absent from the 59.....here's hoping

It's arrived...

Box is currently sat in my kitchen awaiting the delivery of new tv stand (which will hopefully come soon!!)

Things i've learned so far:

1. Apparently my kitchen is only slightly bigger than a tv box.

Needs running-in and calibrating, of course, but so far this TV seems to be the bargain of the century.

£1399 for a 59inch TV!

Mines was ordered on Friday expected end of week beginning of next.....got my 3d glasses today via Korea from e-bay so raring to go....
Just got to get the Sony 52" X series lugged up to the bedroom now....very heavy
