Samsung PS51F5500?

Hi,

I'm looking at buying a new TV and am very intrested in the Samsung PS51F5500 which I believe is a new 2013 model. Does anyone have any opions on this TV before I buy it? What are Samsung plasma's like? I really want a TV with very good black levels, do Samsung's plasma's typically have good blacks? My alternative is a Panasonic TX-P50ST50B or even a Samsung PS51E550. Also interested what people think of LG's plasma's as I have seen one for £650 the 50PM670T to be precise. Any input is much appreciated.

I would say go for the Panasonic, or track down a 51E6500 from last year. The F5500 has a similar panel design to the E6500, but does not have the black pro filter so according to the people who bought it on AV forums it is very reflective. The smart functions on the samsung look ace though.

How important is the filter if most of my viewing is in a dark room or one lamp on with the dimmer switch set low?
