Samsung have two 7000 model 55 inch LED TVs for sale in different shops with slightly different model numbers. Can anyone enlighten me please, I got fed up waiting for the samsung help line.

The numbers are UE 55B 7000WW and

UE 55B 7020WW

Both are listed on their web site is one just a slightly later model perhaps?

Samsung is very keen on 'exclusive' models for specific retailers, and model numbers do vary slightly depending on where you're shopping. We tested both the 40" and 46" UE-7000s and UE-7020s alongside each other and are satisfied they're identical. In terms of performance, anyway - there are various options in terms of finish.

Samsung aren't alone in this. Sony do it as well, hence the W5500 (for the mass market) and W5710 (a shared exclusive for Sony Centre, JLP and Costco).

Personally I think its a daft approach and it causes more confusion for our customers than anything else. If the 'exclusives' offered extra performance for the money or a dramatically different finish I could understand it.

Thanks for the help everyone , its what I had thought as a Currys salesman couldnt find one of the model numbers in his database.

Just out of interest why don't Samsung make a 55inch version of their 8000 series? Also I believe a new LEd backlit model exists in the states which has been voted the best led tv, does anyone know when or if it may arrive here? Samsung deny any knowledge at the moment.
