Samsung LE40-A656A LCD Series 6 - Good Choice ?

Hi.

a New Recruit to This Technical stuff.. just bought the above tv. have i made a wise choice

and can anyone recommend a good Blu -Ray player for £300 or under. thanks

It's a good set - original review here. It's latterly lost a star due to newer, more competitively priced/slightly better performing rivals coming along, but is still a smart choice.

There have also been some picture problems (focus issues) with what seems like an early batch of the sets, but Samsung has issued a Firmware update, and newer sets are meant to be fine.

Re £300 Blu-ray players - Panasonic DMP-BD30 if you're just after a player, with the Sony PlayStation 3 still an excellent option if you fancy all the other features (gaming; streaming etc) it has to offer.
