I've bought the one up from his model the HT-C 6500 for £450 off Amazon UK.

Will receive it tomorrow so I will report on how it fairs up...

Apologies for re-opening this old thread!

I have just bought the C-5500 and it is a good little system, works well with my Samsung 46 inch 1080P set as both parts use the same remote.

The sound level is really loud, even when turnned up to a quarter of the full level.

Only minor gripe is there is no visual indications of the decoding methods like there was on my previous Sony DVD home cinema but that does not detract from the experience.

Also bought the Rear wireless system, works a treat and means there isnt 60 foot of cable across the room, a great system!

What Hifi - a professional review would be nice
