Samsung ES8000 40 AV Out?

Hi - Sorry a basic question.

How do I get an AV signal out of my Samsung 8000 TV? Can see AV ins - but no outs. If I plug into the headphone socket the sound is turned off for other people. My wife has better hearing than me - so I would like to listen at a different volume... So an AV out into my NAD Amp?

I presume you mean audio out, dosen't the tv come with digital audio out (optical) if it does you may need a dac to route it to your amp, also check if it does or it doesn't have phono out for audio.

Have found a Digital Audio Out (optical). So I need a DAC - any suggestions please? - I don't- want to spend a lot.
