Can anyone recommend an SACD player that outputs the audio through HDMI? Does such a thing exist? Thanks very much.

Or Sony SCD-XA5400ES.

Oh, or the original 60GB PS3 - the newer versions lost the SACD playback capability.

Thanks for the replies, chaps. Will all these recommendations playback SACD multichannel ie 5.1 through HDMI? ie Dark Side, In The Flesh, Up etc?

Yup, provide your receiver can handle DSD or the player can output LPCM. I'm currently using the OPPO with my Onkyo 875 for just this purpose.

Hi Andrew,
From your experience and considering that your Onkyo does the DSD conversion, do you think the Sony XA5400ES would be a huge step up compared to your Oppo (SACD) player?
Or would you say that in this configuration the only difference between these two players is transport? if that is the case, would you believe the Sony justifies its premium. Of course, here, I'm only talking about multi-channel audio (in native DSD streaming) through hdmi.
