it just sounds flat and my sub doesnt seem to be working as it should i.e its on full both on amp and the sub its self ive replaced the sublink with a chord 3m and my fronts are on atlas hyper.

the fronts are set to large but still sounds flat i think im wanting a bit more warmth from the soundstage, i think im a bit used to the old onkyos sound but still the yammy seems a great avr it just seems to be lacking in warmth and sound stage

It does take a while to get optimum stup of a modern av. I do find the auto setup a little dull, preferring little processing but its a fair start to set distances etc. But I dont think this is your problem. Front set to large means that bass is sent to front and not subwoofer. Only lfe will go to the sub. I suggest as a start set all spks to small and crossover around 80. Even with (my) large floorstanders I set 80/100hz crossover. I assume your sub IS working - initially set your sub to high to allow all frequencies through, determined by the amps.crossover.I would turn off most processing options before tweaking

Did you set correct nominal impedance in AVR?

When you go through auto setup Parametric EQ is set to YPAO:Flat. I find this combination really sounding FLAT… I set to “Through” and the sound become much better!

< I have question about this crossover… To what Hz I should set it, if I have no sub, but have floorstanders as fronts?
