Well it's now been a couple of weeks in which I've probably 'used' about 50 hours listening.

There are many people who think that CD players don't actually benefit...hmmm.

When I got my CD192 it was a little harsh compared to the CD92 I had - everything else being the same. It's now starting to sing, a little more forward, a little more pacey, a little more timing, perhaps a little more detail.

I'm a bit worried that I'm going to stay up even later listening. Good in one way, but I still need to work tomorrow.

What is undeniable is the musicality, the crisp, mellow, enjoyable nature of the system. I'm well chuffed all in all, and if it gets better than this then I would (in King Kevs words) love it, just love it...

thats great news Joel. not just about the running in improving the CDP(which i already suspected was the case) but also about how fantastic the CD192 is. i have had my eye on one for a while as an upgrade to my now departed CD72T. however, since replacing the 72 with the DV88 i may be able to hold off the upgrade bug a bit longer (financial constrainst also come into affect)

could i be so bold as to suggest that next in line is a speaker upgrade for your good self? not that the Dali's arent good, just they now seem somewhat overshadowed by your Arcams... just IMO of course

The Dalis are fantastic speakers, and work brilliantly with the Arcam kit. Absolutely no plans to replace them
