Rotel RB -1070 2nd Hand Power amp...

Just found this listed on ebay for a price I could def afford for the short term (or long term if any good) to use with my NAD 545Bee (on its way) and Dynaudio X-12's. Is this a decent amp? will it run the speakers? And excuse my ignorance....its a stereo power amp...do I need to run a pre-amp or, do I just hook my speakers straight in? OR should I just keep saving my Australian dollars and wait?

The RB-1070 is an excellent power amp and will quite happily drive the X12's. You will need a pre amp though. The NAD C160 works well with the RB-1070.

Rotel's RA-1062 and if you are happy to wait then (depending on budget) Marantz PM-64, PM-84 and particularly the PM-94 are also worth serious considering.
