Rotel RA-1520

Hi all

I'm looking to upgrade my Nad 320 and have been looking at the Rotel.Also like Maxflinn i've looked at the Kandy K2.

Would like your views more on the Rotel than the Kandy and if it would suit mt cdp & speakers for now untill i've got the dollar to change the rest.

I finds this Rotel amp horrible sharp.

I heard the RA-1520 and it dug up much detail with my Ma Rx6. It sounded at least as nice as the kandy.

But with the b&w 684 it sounded much to bassy/wooly. While with the RX6 it was much more natural/neutral

Have no idea who would ever describe this amp as sharp/bright. Maybe it was down to the source/speakers partnered at the time.

I like the RA-1520 and would definitely recommend you audition it. It's got great musicality/timing/punch.

I'm not familiar with your particular speakers, but heard the amp with the B&W 684 and am very clear now that the B&W sound is not my cup of tea. The amp would be better matched to lively, energetic speakers, rather than the clean/sterile type, if you know what I mean.
