Rotel & PMC system matching

Hello,

Would a Rotel RA-1520 amp be good enough to drive a pair of PMC DB1i's?

And would they be a good system match?

I'd appreciate any comment or opinion.

The Rotel has 2x60W and would be driving 8ohm nominal impedance at a sensitivity of 87 dB 1w 1m. Personally I think that will be absolutely fine. They're an average sensitivity in general, fairly good for a small monitor. With the Rotel you should get a surprising amount of bass punch and rhythm too. The amount of absolute volume you get won't be concert levels but I imagine they're going to be in a small room anyway. The room size and distance you sit from them will be key in determining the ultimate volume capability available from the matching.

After giving the PMC's a good audition recently, I can't add too much other than the PMC's really relish a high quality amp, like the Rotel or Roksan Kandy.

Aha I thought you sold the RS6's and replaced them with the PMC's PP.
