The M1 range is being superceded.

Like most stuff, when a range is replaced, the old range gets flogged off cheap.

I have heard the new M2 combo, which are more analytical than M1. However, I like M1 more than M2.

I bought my Roksan Caspians (see below) about four months ago for a reduced price, prior to the launch of the M2 range, and can only say great things about them.

They replaced an Arcam P90/A85 combo, which I've loved for many years, and the differences are considerable. (As was even the reduced price tag!)

I was a little sad to see the much-used, much-loved Arcams go, but I've not looked back since the Roksans took up residence. They don't look too great but they produce a fantastic sound with every source I'm using.

Now to find a cheap-ish M1 Caspian CD player, now I've nearly gone the whole Roksan hog!

Oh yes, I heard the combo about a year ago with Wilson Benesch speakers (I'm in dreamland).

Have you heard Roksan Caspian Pre Amp/Caspian Power? What are the differences comparing with your Roksan Caspian Pre Amp/Caspian Mono Power amp x 2 please?

My dealer let me trial the Mono and pre-amp combos at home, but I never got much chance to compare with the Pre&Stereo set-up.

I heard both set-ups briefly in-store, but had to choose one or the other to take home for auditioning. By the time I'd had the Monos and Pre amp for a week he'd sold his Stereo/Pre combo, so I didn't get chance to hear them up against each other with my own sources.

The hour I had in-store swayed me towards the Monos. More heft, and a fuller, more dynamic soundstage seemed to be the most immediate impressions.

So probably not enough informed info' for you there. Sorry I can't be more insightful.

Thank you for your kind sharing
