Help please from any Rogers enthusiasts !mMy father sadly passed away a few years ago and we have his rogers studio 1 speakers that he loved so much and raved about. He told us that they were pretty special ones (BBc?)and he bought them for a lot of money at the tottenham court road in London at a specialist shop. I have this pair that I would like to sell and I don't have an idea where to start or how much to sell them for .. I have photos of them and serial numbers at the back.

8 OHMS

300 WATTS

Can anyone help me please and guide me in the right direction of how to go about selling these and what I could expect to sell them for ? Thank you

Camilla

My suggestion is auction them on that well known auction site and make it collect only. Im sure there will be a few people interested. There are quite a few peoole around who like old equipment, not because it is cheap but they like the sound.

Some old equipment can fetch very high prices.

I had a pair of these, back in the day. Very clear and honest, devastatingly ruthless with poor electronics and recordings. I don't think that the modern pop generation would be falling over themselves to get a set, but there will be plenty of people who will embrace that kind of true reproduction.

There are a few hifi sites that have classified sections, and I would be tempted to try there. Depending on condition, they should fetch a good few quid.
